Inclusion for All, Strategies, Resources and Interventions for children with emerging and additional needs

Course Description

This course will provide you with information about how to effectively support children with emerging and additional needs in early years. The focus will be on creating an inclusive environment, understanding individual needs, and providing differentiated support using different strategies, resources and interventions. Involving adapting activities and including using the additional needs resources/grant.

Outcomes

Participants will:

  • Have a better understanding how to support children with emerging and additional needs in their settings.
  • Have a better understanding on creating an inclusive environment and understanding individual needs.
  • Be able to use an array of different resources, strategies and interventions to support children with emerging and additional needs in their settings.

Target Audience

Initially in the Autumn term this course will be Inclusion Leads, thereafter it will be open to all childcare staff and childminders.
