Every child deserves the best possible start in life. We can support you and your family throughout the early years. Find out more about Your Family’s Journey Through the Early Years.

To allow us to support you and your family, we need to hold certain information about you.

Information Sharing Protocol (ISP)

To support your family’s journey through the Early Years, we have an Information Sharing Protocol (ISP) in place with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. This is a formal and legally compliant agreement that sets out the terms, conditions, and lawful basis for sharing personal data between our organisations. It ensures that information is shared securely, appropriately, and in line with data protection legislation.

What is an ISP?

Explains how organisations in Gwent share personal information to support children from before birth to age 7.

Who is involved?

Includes Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, local authorities, schools, childcare settings, and partner organisations.

What information is shared?

Only the minimum necessary personal information is shared with us. This can include details of you and your family, address, health and education needs, and social care involvement.

At the start of your early years journey, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board will share information with us during pregnancy and when your child is born.‍

How we will use your information

We take your privacy seriously. Our privacy notice explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data throughout your early years journey.
