Healthy Start Vitamins Pilot

In partnership with the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) the Caerphilly Early Years and Childcare service will soon be trialling a new scheme to encourage families to provide their children with daily vitamins.

Starting in January 2024, Healthy Start Vitamins will be distributed to eligible families through their childcare setting.

The pilot will run in the following childcare settings initially:

• St James Flying Start
• Graig y Rhacca Flying Start
• Markham Community Playgroup
• Penyrheol Flying Start
• Ty Coch Flying Start
• Dewi Sant Flying Start
• Penllwyn Flying Start
• Cylch Meithrin Pontllanfraith
• Fochriw Flying Start
• Philipstown Flying Start
• Nant y Parc Flying Start
• Bryn Awel Flying Start

In addition to this, if you’re receiving a qualifying benefit and are pregnant or have parental responsibility for at least one child under the age of 4, you can apply online now for the NHS Healthy Start card.
